Sunday, Funday ...... Domenica, giorno di divertimento

Sunday morning in Milan we woke up to unusual treat: SUNSHINE. It was the perfect day for a long walk around the city with Bridget, my roommate, and Jessica, another exchange student in the program from Toronto.

  

These are what I consider to be my essentials for a day spent walking in Milan. 

There are lots of arches around the city, these  are the ones near my apartment.

Just a few blocks from our apartment in the trendy Navigli neighborhood.

 

There are dozens of churches in this style around the city, some have a slightly more orange colored brick, but they pretty much all look the same.

  

There really is graffiti everywhere.  Rumor has it, there was a bit of a compromise and in order to save the old buildings, graffiti is more or less tolerated on doors.

 

 

This is a crazy Desiel campaign.  There are ads all around about being stupid.  I don't remember seeing any stateside, but they are everywhere here.

Another car parked on the sidewalk.  The cars here are so small, but with the crazy winding streets I can't imagine driving anything bigger. 

 

 Neat area with some VERY old columns, there were a bunch of people in the courtyard just enjoying the weather.
