Mom and Grace and I were supposed to come back to Milan on Saturday, but all of the trains were sold out.  We got tickets for Sunday, then found a last minute hotel for the additional night.  We got to the Central Station in Milan Sunday afternoon just in time to hear an announcement that all tickets for trains leaving from Milan are sold out through Friday.  If our flight Wednesday to the UK is cancelled, we won't be able to substitute train tickets for the trip like we were hoping.  According to the BBC, 100,000+ travelers are stranded as a result of the airline closure....  hopefully Mom can make it back in time to catch her flight back to the states next week, and hopefully Grace can make it back in time to meet her boyfriend who is flying in next week.  Yikes bikes.

In other news, Rome was AMAZING, A-M-A-Z-I-N-G.... I can't wait to go back!!  The Vatican is the most beautiful building I've ever seen, and the Vatican Museum blew my mind.  The Colosseum was eerie, and everywhere I looked there were beautiful statues and quaint side streets.   I managed to rack up a staggering 1336 photos in four days....  I will be posting some of them over the next few weeks, but now I have to go enjoy my stranded company in Milan!

Ciao, Ciao!
